IPL Valuation: IPL's brand value at a whopping $16.4 billion

IPL Valuation Rises

The Indian Premier League’s valuation has increased by 6.5 percent to $16.4 billion (roughly Rs. 1,34,858 crore) in 2024. This information is given in the report of the American investment bank Houlihan Lock. Tata Group is the main reason behind the increase in IPL valuation. According to reports, the Tata Group has bought the title sponsorship for the next five years (year 2024 to year 2028) for around $300 million (Rs 2,500 crore). This price is almost 50 percent higher than last season’s Rs 335 crore deal.

The report states that revenue from television rights has significantly increased franchisees’ earnings over the years. Each team’s revenue is between 50-120 million dollars. Qatar Airways has signed a huge three-year deal with Royal Challengers Bangalore worth around 75 crores.

Which team in IPL has the highest brand value?

• Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has a brand value of $231 million.

• Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has a brand value of $227 million.

• Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has a brand value of $217 million.

• Mumbai Indians (MI), with a brand value of $204 million.

• Rajasthan Royals (RR) has a brand value of $133 million.

• Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has a brand value of $132 million.

• Among the remaining teams, Delhi Capitals, with the return of their captain and biggest player Rishabh Pant, has a brand value of $131 million.

• Gujarat Titans brand value is 124 million dollars.
