Income tax department has released press release for recruitment. Accordingly, various posts are going to be recruited in the Income Tax Department. Income Tax Department Mumbai is going to recruit for 291 vacancies for the posts of Inspector of Income Tax and Steno and Sports.

Applications are invited from meritorious athletes representing the Country/State/All India Inter-University (organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities) for appointment to the following posts under Sports Quota.

Income Tax Department Recruitment has vacancies for Income Tax Inspector (ITI), Stenographer Grade-II (Steno), Tax Assistant (TA), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), and Canteen Attendant (CA).

• Inspector of Income Tax (ITI) – 14 Posts

• Stenographer – 18 Posts

• Tax Assistant (TA) – 119 Posts

• Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) – 137 Posts

• Canteen Attendant – 3 Posts

Educational Qualification

• Inspector of Income Tax: (i) Graduate (ii) Relevant Sports Qualification.

• Stenographer: (i) 12th pass (ii) Relevant sports qualification.

• Tax Assistant: (i) Graduate (ii) Relevant Sports Qualification.

• Multi Tasking Staff: (i) 10th pass (ii) Relevant sports qualification.

• Canteen Attendant: (i) 10th pass (ii) Relevant sports qualification.

Sports Eligibility

Athletes Representing State or Country/Athletes Representing University in Inter-Schools/Athletes Participating in All India School Organized National Games/Sports/National Award Winners

As on 01 January 2023, [OBC: 05 years relaxation, SC/ST: 10 years relaxation]

• Inspector of Income Tax : 18 to 30 years

• Stenographer: 18 to 27 years

• Tax Assistant: 18 to 27 years

• Multi Tasking Staff: 18 to 25 years

• Canteen Attendant: 18 to 25 years
