The sources of administration of the wrestling organization are currently with the temporary committee. They decided to postpone the Under-15 and Under-20 National Wrestling Championships. He had announced the competition a few days ago. Some states had informed him that we cannot prepare the team in such a short time. Therefore, the temporary committee took this decision. According to the schedule, women’s national competition including under-20 and under-15 freestyle Greco-Roman will be held at Netaji Subhash National Sports Complex in Patiala from February 28 to March 5, said Bhupender Singh Bajwa, Head of the Interim Committee.
The demand made by some state associations for the preparation of teams is right. “We have decided to postpone the national tournament considering that they will also have to select their teams through the selection test,” said Bajwa. Players who win titles in national competitions and make an impact are going to be the future of the country. Medals will be expected from them in international competitions. Therefore, we also thought that the original national competition should be very competitive, said Bajwa.
Bajwa informed that teams from 18 to 20 states will participate in this national tournament in two age groups and approximately 1,200 to 1,400 athletes will participate. The same seasonal committee held the senior group national tournament in Jaipur last week.
