Sachin Tendulkar jersey number 10 has also been retired by the Indian Cricket Board. Now Dhoni’s jersey number 7 has also been retired and sealed Dhoni’s uniqueness.
Indian Express has reported about this and now no Indian cricketer will be able to wear jersey number 7.
According to the information given by the BCCI official, ‘Currently, the player in the Indian team is using almost 60 numbers. Even if a player is out of the team for a year or more, his jersey number is not assigned to another new player. Therefore, new players have to choose a number only from 30 numbers.’
After football, there is a big craze for jersey number 10 and jersey number 7 in cricket. Currently playing football, Lionel Messi’s jersey number is 10 while Cristiano Ronaldo’s jersey number is 7. Previously, Zidane, Brazil’s Ronaldinho also wore the jersey number 10.
