If you want to start your day with something healthy and tasty then parathas made from moong dal can be a best option. Many people like to eat parathas for breakfast during winters. Well, you get tired of eating the same food as usual for breakfast.

If you too are tired of eating potato, cabbage or paneer paratha with these dishes, then today we have brought a special recipe for you. The name of this special recipe is Moong Dal Paratha. So let’s find out about this tasty and healthy recipe.

Ingredients for Moong Dal Paratha

• Wheat flour – 2 bowls

• Moong dal – 1 bowl

• Turmeric – half a spoon

• Coriander powder – 1 tsp

• Garam masala – half teaspoon

• Asafoetida – half a spoon

• Red Chilli – 1 tsp

• Oil

• 2-3 green chillies

• Salt to taste

The correct method of making moong dal paratha is as follows

• First of all wash the moong dal to make delicious moong dal paratha.

• After that, soak it in water for 3-4 hours.

• After that, remove the dal from the water and grind it in a mixer. Now take this fine paste of moong dal in a bowl.

• Now sift the wheat flour in a plate or pan. Now mix salt in it and mix it with little water and knead the dough.

• After this, keep this wheat flour covered for 20 minutes to set.

• Now add 2 tbsp oil in a kadai or pan. Once the oil is hot, add cumin and asafoetida and fry it.

• Now add turmeric, coriander powder and green chillies to this oil. After that, add moong dal paste, red chillies, garam masala and salt to taste.

• Now fry this mixture on low flame. After roasting this mixture well, keep it to cool for a while. Your paratha saran is now ready.

• After that, make small balls of wheat flour and fill them with gram flour and roll them gently.

• Heat a tawa or pan on the other side and add ghee or oil to it and fry the parathas well on both sides.

• Serve these hot parathas with green chutney, tomato sauce or yogurt.
