Ishq Vishk Rebound Review: A love story that gets tangled up; How is 'Ishq Vishk Rebound'? Read the review

Ishq Vishk Rebound Movie

Ishq Vishk was made by director Ken Ghosh and producers Kumar Taurani and Ramesh Taurani in the year 2003 with Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao. Shahid and Amrita made their debut in Hindi cinema through this film. Shahidi played the role of Rajiv and Amrita played the role of Payal in the film. A fresh love story was presented in the film and the film was a huge success. Now the makers of the same film have come up with its sequel, Ishq Vishk Rebound.

This time the responsibility of direction has been given to Nipun Dharmadhikari. Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Pashmina Roshan and Gibran Khan are two new actors making their debut in Hindi cinema through this film. The formula of friendship, love and breakup is presented in this. It is a love story that will appeal to today’s youth. But there is confusion while presenting it. This is the story of three friends. Raghav (Rohit Saraf), Sahir (Gibran Khan) and Sanya (Pashmina Roshan) are childhood friends.

They have a close friendship since then. After growing up, Sahir and Sanya fall in love with each other. There is constant love, quarrel etc. between them. His friend Raghav always stands behind him like a shadow. He is dating Riya (Nyla Grewal) from the same college. They also have a love story. After that, Sahir joins the Defense Academy to fulfill his father’s dream. Sanya cannot bear his going like this and they break up. The plot then takes a different turn. Raghav and Sanya are attracted to each other and try to give a name to their relationship.

Riya gets his grunt and she also gets angry. Overall the plot moves through friendship, love, relationship and breakup. There are many turns and twists in it. So the movie really increases your curiosity. But the confusion in the screenplay leads to disappointment. If you look at it like that, the accomplished Avinash Dharmadhikari is a great and experimental director. He has tried to present the language of youth, their morals etc. in this film and give a stylish film.

A new definition of love has been tried. But overall, the plot of this film is confusing. The actors Rohit Saraf, Gibran Khan, Pashmita Roshan and Naya Grewal have given strong performances. Rohit Saraf and Gibran Khan have to be praised more. Because Rohit has played the role of Raghav perfectly. Raghav’s conflict between friendship and love has been beautifully portrayed on screen. At the same time, Gibran Khan has created the character of Sahil with great confidence.

He has portrayed various colors and styles of this role with his own style. Pashmina Roshan is expected to take a big leap from her overall work. Naila Grewal has played the role of Rhea very well. Supriya Pilgaonkar plays the role of Sanya’s mother and Akash Khurana plays the role of Raghav’s father. Talking about the music of the film, Gore Gore Mukhde Pe…the once superhit song has been recreated for the film and it has been done brilliantly.

There are some songs in this movie like ‘Chot Dil Pe Lagi’, ‘Soni Soni’, ‘Ishq Vishq’. Rochak Kohli has composed the music and it is beautiful. Cinematographer Milind Jog’s camera captures the locations of Dehradun etc beautifully in his camera. But the climax of the film is not very exciting. This leads to frustration. Overall the movie is a messed up plot and confusing love story.
