Ravichandran Ashwin Most 5 Wickets Haul

India’s off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took 5 wickets for 51 runs in 15.5 overs in the second innings of the fourth Test. Along with this, Ravichandran Ashwin also equaled a major record. Ashwin has managed to take 5 wickets 35 times in 99 Tests so far. He equaled Anil Kumble’s record and is now the joint-most 5-wicket taker in Indian Test history with Kumble.

R. Ashwin left the match in the third Test and returned home. Due to family reasons, he had to leave the match halfway through. But he returned again while the match was underway. Those two-four days were stressful for him. Ashwin could not do much in the first innings of the fourth Test. But in the second innings, he bowled out half of England’s team by hitting powerfully when the team needed it.

Ashwin has taken 5 wickets 35 times and 4 wickets 24 times in 99 Tests so far. Along with this, he has also scored 5 centuries and 14 fifties by performing strongly in batting.

Along with this, Ashwin has also become the bowler who has taken the most Test wickets in India. He has surpassed Anil Kumble in this regard. Anil Kumble has taken 350 Test wickets in India. Ashwin surpassed him with 351 wickets.

Harbhajan Singh is at the third position in this list. He has taken 265 wickets. While Kapil Dev has taken 219 Test wickets in India, he is fourth in this list. Ravindra Jadeja is on the fifth position with 210 wickets.

Talking about the fourth test, India wrapped up England’s second innings by 145 runs. India need 192 runs to win. At the end of the third day’s play, India scored 40 runs unbeaten, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 16 runs and Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten with 27 runs. India still need 152 runs to win.
