Lunoom
Rangoli has become an integral part of the auspicious occasion whether it is a festival or a moment of joy at home as well as at the event venue. However, due to the changed lifestyle and work flow, the amount of rangoli drawing in many households in urban areas seems to be decreasing.
A lot of time is spent on Rangoli, considering both the beauty of the home due to Rangoli and the spiritual happiness it brings. But considering the lack of time that many people have, a startup called ‘Lunoom‘ thought of giving Rangoli a touch of technology.
Sagar Agwane, the founder of the startup, thought about how automation will come in Rangoli and how that technology will not be limited to Rangoli, it will increase creativity and also bring mental peace.
After several months of research and various experiments, Agwane created a table to bring the old rangoli into a new form. This table is made from one piece of wood. A system designed using automation is installed inside the table.

Through it, Rangoli is depicted on the surface of the table. That depiction is controlled by an application. The application allows you to change different Rangoli designs, songs and lights. A small iron ball on a magnetic base is constantly rotating on the surface. Hence rangolis with different designs are created.
Agwane has been working in the IT sector for the past 15 years. Initially he was a graphic designer. Being fond of art, he thought of how to draw Rangoli in an updated way during the Corona period and from that started ‘Lunoom‘.
