The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium’s outfield has under massive scrutiny during the first match at the venue played between Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
On Tuesday, England will take on Bangladesh at the same venue, where the International Cricket Council (ICC) has judged it ‘average’ but it has been given a green signal for Tuesday’s England-Bangladesh game.
The outfield was watered after the game on Saturday and again on Sunday, with less than 48 hours to go for the next World Cup game at the venue. Earlier this year, the third India-Australia Test was also moved to Indore from Dharamsala after the HPCA failed to prepare a playable outfield in time for the game.
Bangladesh has registerd a six-wicket win over Afghanistan, while England had lost their opening match by nine wickets against New Zealand.
