Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the budget in the Lok Sabha today. In this budget, she made a big announcement for the technology sector. A major reduction in basic customs duty on mobile phones and chargers has been announced. Due to this, the duty on mobile devices and components will now be only 15%. Mobile spare parts will also become cheaper.

Nirmala Sitharaman said, “In the last six years domestic production has tripled and mobile phone exports have increased a hundredfold. This development has matured the Indian mobile industry for the benefit of the consumer. Hence the proposal to increase customs duty to 15% on mobile phones, mobile PCBA and mobile chargers. is.”
