BharatPe: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India has sent a notice to BharatPe. The notice has been sent under Section 206 of the Companies Act, in which the government has sought information from the company regarding the legal action taken against its founder Ashneer Grover.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India has sent a notice to BharatPe. The notice has been sent under Section 206 of the Companies Act, in which the government has sought information from the company regarding the legal action taken against its founder Ashneer Grover.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has sought information from the company regarding the evidence submitted in court in the criminal case filed against Ashneer Grover. BharatPe Company was in trouble in 2022.
When the founder of the company, Ashneer Grover, used offensive language against a Kotak Group employee and threatened him. Ashneer Grover had threatened an employee of Kotak Group for not giving Nayak’s IPO.
Following the controversy, Ashneer Grover resigned as managing director of BharatPe and the company decided to audit its financial accounts.
On the notice, Bharatpay Company has replied that the Ministry has issued a notice to the company and sought more information in the Ashneer case. The company said that we will try our best to help the investigating agencies.
After the audit, Bharatpay had registered a case of misappropriation of funds and fraud against Ashneer Grover, his wife and his brother. The company had claimed that the company had suffered a loss of Rs 88.67 crore due to Ashneer and his wife. The company filed a case for compensation. However, Ashneer denied the allegations against himself and his wife. The company also alleged that Ashneer Grover had no contribution to BharatPay technology.
