Zombie Virus: Corona is not over yet, the threat of another virus has increased. Scientists have warned of the dangers posed by viruses buried under ice in the Arctic and elsewhere.
Zombie Virus Could Start Pandemic
Everyone remembers the devastation caused by the corona virus. Corona epidemic has killed millions, it has not recovered properly yet. Now the threat of a new virus (Zombie Virus) has arisen. Scientists have warned of the dangers posed by viruses buried under ice in the Arctic and elsewhere. This virus is called zombie virus. Scientists say ‘zombie viruses’ could emerge from melting Arctic permafrost.
Major diseases can spread
Zombie viruses have been buried in the ground for thousands of years. If the Earth’s temperature continues to rise, these viruses can cause major disease. Anticipating this threat, scientists are building an Arctic monitoring network. This will give information about the initial patients caused by this virus, then measures can be taken accordingly. Even before, scientists have tried to understand the threat of this virus.
Virus threat to the whole world
The zombie virus was discovered by studying samples taken from Siberian permafrost. 13 virus samples were collected and researched. If the arctic permafrost continues to melt like this, the zombie virus could create a dire situation. Scientists have said that these viruses can infect single-celled organisms.
Viruses 48,500 years old
The investigation revealed that several viruses from seven different Siberian locations were capable of spreading the infection. A sample of this virus is 48,500 years old. Frozen ice has started to melt due to rising temperatures due to global warming. Therefore, the risk of this virus has increased.
The danger increased as the snow melted
Permafrost is a layer on or below the Earth’s surface. It is always frozen. It consists of clay, gravel and sand. It’s all held together by ice. Due to the rising temperature, the frozen ice has started to melt. Therefore, the risk of this virus (Zombie Virus) has increased. To better understand the risks associated with these viruses, scientists studied some of the samples taken from Siberian permafrost last year.
