Talk to a live rep: No need to 'hold' on customer care calls.. Google's new AI feature to save time!

Google Talk to a live Rep Feature

There is a need to call customer care to report something, or to ask for some information. At such times companies keep the phone on hold for many times even saying “your call is important”. Customers have complained that many companies keep the phone on hold for more than half an hour. You can’t even cut the phone because it’s your job. Now Google has taken a step to find a solution to this problem.

Google is currently working on a new feature, in which the AI will wait on the call in your place, and when the representative of the company comes on the call, you will automatically receive the call. The name of this feature is ‘Talk to a live representative’. Google has said that this will save people a lot of time.

How does it work?

This feature will be activated after you call a customer care or receive a call from the company. After this, when you are put on hold, Google’s AI will be there in your place. You can keep the phone aside and do your other work. After this, when the representative of the company comes back on the phone, Google will call you and inform you about this. So that you can keep the work at hand and continue your call.

Testing begins

The feature has started testing and is currently only available in the US. People participating in Google Search Labs have got an English version of it. The feature is available on the Google app on Android and iOS, and on Chrome on desktop.

This will work like the ‘Hold for Me’ feature already available on Google Pixel. Of course, the Hold for Me feature is only available on Pixel phones. The Talk to a Live Representative feature will be available on both Android and iOS platforms.
