Excessive heat can lead to low blood pressure leading to dizziness, vertigo, loss of blood supply to the brain, etc. The buttermilk that is produced by making pickled ghee, the consumption of buttermilk or whey/lassi made from it is beneficial for the body in summer.

Curd should be avoided in summer. Along with this, it is better to avoid soft drinks containing carbonated drinks and drinks made with artificial chemicals on street cars. Pachagni is reduced in summer so do not drink very cold water before meals. Drink little water while eating. Thus according to the theory of Ayurveda we can take good care of health in summer.

Take care like this

• Before going out in the sun, wear cotton clothes that cover your arms and legs, a hat on your head, and goggles on your eyes.

• Use sunscreen lotion on the skin.

• Adding vegetables and basil seeds in the syrup reduces urinary inflammation and heat.

• To reduce eye inflammation, a cloth soaked in rose water should be placed on the eyes.

• Coconut oil massage on soles while sleeping at night is helpful.

What care should be taken

• Do not drink water immediately after coming home from hot sun. First let the body acclimate to the room temperature. Then sit for a few minutes. After that drink like water syrup should be consumed.

• It describes many types of drinks or Panak according to Ayurveda. Consuming lemon sharbat, kokum sharbat, amla sharbat, bela sharbat, wala sharbat as well as orange, mosambi, sugarcane juice, water melon, melon, pineapple is very beneficial for the body.

• Avoid drinking fridge water. Ice is also prohibited. The cold water of Matha is beneficial for health. If a handful of sand is put in Matha, due to the cold quality of sand, the heat generation in the body is prevented.
