Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget 2024 and mentioned many things for women. In this, the account of the work done for women so far was read and the things to be emphasized about women in the future were also mentioned.
1• She informed that the entrepreneurship of women has been increased by 24 percent due to government efforts.
2• Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 70 percent of women have been given houses and their dignity has increased.
3• One crore women have got the benefit of Lakhpati Didi Yojana this figure is going to be taken up to three crore rupees.
4• Women aged 9 to 14 years will be given free vaccination against cervical cancer.
5• Enrollment of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) courses has increased by 28 percent over the past decade.
6• The practice of triple talaq was outlawed.
7• One-third of the seats in the Legislative Assembly have been reserved for women.
8• Health cover will be provided to Asha workers, Anganwadi workers and helpers under Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
