Mumbai Indian Captain: After all, the purpose for which Hardik Pandya left Mumbai Indians and came back, Hardik’s purpose was fulfilled. Mumbai Indians have announced Hardik Pandya as the captain of IPL 2024. He will now be the successor of Rohit Sharma.
Mumbai Indians Global Head Coach Mahela Jayawardhane announced that Mumbai Indians have made Hardik Pandya the captain according to a strategy. Jayawardhane also said that he wants to prepare Mumbai Indians for the future.
Jayawardhane said, ‘Mumbai Indians are lucky that the team has always got strong leadership. From Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh to Ricky Ponting and Rohit, they all contributed to the success of Mumbai Indians.’

“We are always working with the vision of building the team of the future. That is why Hardik Pandya will lead the Mumbai Indians in the 2024 season of IPL with the same vision.
Jayawardhane also thanked Rohit Sharma for his unique leadership. He said that due to Rohit’s leadership, the team not only achieved success but also became one of the best captains in the IPL. Although Rohit is no longer the captain, expect his experience and guidance for the future success of Mumbai Indians.
