The remaining matches will be scheduled after the Election Commission announces the dates for the Lok Sabha elections. BCCI has decided to play this year’s season in India despite Loksabha’s objections. Now everyone’s attention is on when the remaining schedule of IPL is announced.
Where the remaining matches will be?
BCCI gets huge revenue from IPL. If the IPL season is held in the country, the chances of getting this revenue are reduced. Earlier in 2009, the IPL was organized in South Africa due to the elections. A similar situation had also arisen in 2014. At that time some IPL matches were shifted to UAE. In 2019, even when the elections were going on, the entire league was played in India. BCCI intends to do the same this time too.
