A total of 30 players have been signed across four categories this time. And the BCCI has also created a fifth special category, in which only fast bowlers have a place. Five only young fast bowlers have been included in this list.

But don’t you ever have a question? Based on which BCCI selects the players in categories like A+, A, B, C and how much they get paid.

How does BCCI select players?

The BCCI decides which player to place in which category in the central contract, keeping in mind future plans, performance and form of the players.

This time, captain Rohit Sharma and star batsman Virat Kohli were retained in the A+ category. Apart from him, pacer Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja are also in the A+ category.

How much rupees does a player in which category get?

A+ category players will get Rs 7-7 crore, A category players will get Rs 5-5 crore, B category players will get Rs 3-3 crore and C category players will get Rs 1-1 crore annually.

Grade A: Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya.

– These six players in category A will get 5 crores.

Grade B: Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Akshar Patel and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

– These players in category B will get three crores.

Grade C: Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Rituraj Gaikwad, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep, K. S. India, Famous Krishna, Avesh Khan, Rajat Patidar.

– Players in this category will get one crore rupees per annum.
