Google Maps Fuel Saving: We often use Google Maps to find the way to a place. This app of Google provides information about many things like time required to go to a place, traffic on the road and two-three options to go to that place. Now one more feature has been added.
Due to this new feature of Google Maps, the cost of fuel will be reduced and money will be saved. Earlier this feature was only available in US, Canada and Europe. Now this special feature has been launched in India as well.
How does this feature work?
After launching the new fuel saving feature of Maps, Google is looking for options to save fuel using different methods. It checks real time traffic, road conditions etc. Also, it checks if there is a shortcut or quick route to a certain location.
Even when this feature is disabled, Google Maps still provides the fastest route option. However, this does not focus on fuel saving.
How to Start To Use This Google Map New Feature?
• Open Google Maps to enable this feature.
• After this, click on your profile in the upper corner.
• After that select Settings option.
• Then tap on ‘Navigation Settings’.
• After that scroll down and select ‘Root Options’.
• After that tap on ‘Prefer Fuel Efficient Routes’ option.
• After that select your engine type.
After this, Google will show you the right route option to save fuel. This feature has been rolled out in India, and it will appear in all smartphones in a phased manner. For this you need to update Google Maps app.
