According to the information received so far, an army officer and a soldier were martyred in the encounter. Three soldiers are also said to be injured in the firing by terrorists. Many encounters have taken place in the Pir Panjal forest in Jammu and Kashmir in the last few years. This entire area has always been challenging for the army. There are many hiding places for terrorists in the dense forests here.
Terrorists take advantage of inaccessible mountains, dense forests and alpine forests to hide their positions. Last week, a terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Rajouri.
