Because senior all-rounder Sean Williams has surprised everyone with his sudden retirement from the T20 format. The 37-year-old Williams made the decision after the 5th match of the T20I series against Bangladesh. The information was given by the Zimbabwe Cricket Board.
Zimbabwe Cricket said that Sean Williams has announced his retirement from T20 international cricket. After the match, he communicated his decision to his teammates.
Sean Williams has achieved a record in T20Is which India captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and West Indies’ star opener Chris Gayle have not been able to do so far.
Zimbabwean all-rounder Sean Williams is the second cricketer in the world to have played T20 Internationals for the longest period i.e. 17 years 166 days. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is number one in this regard. whose career will continue for a long time.

Sean Williams made his T20 International debut on 28 November 2006 against Bangladesh. He has scored 1691 runs in 80 innings of 81 T20 Internationals played so far at an average of 23.48 and a strike rate of 126.38. He scored 11 fifties during this period. His highest score in T20 cricket is 66.
Talking about bowling, he has achieved 48 in 73 innings. His average during this period was 28.62. His best bowling figures are 3/15.
