Leo is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film
The film was officially announced in January 2023 under the tentative title Thalapathy 67, as it is Vijay’s 67th film as a lead actor, and the title of the film was announced a few days later.
Leo was released worldwide on 19 October 2023 in standard and IMAX formats to mixed reviews from the critics and audience.

About the Leo:
Parthiban “Parthi” is an animal rescuer and a cafè owner in Theog, Himachal Pradesh, who lives a happy life with his family consisting of his wife, Sathya, and two children, Siddharth “Siddhu” and Mathi. One day, a gang attempts to rob a cafe and makes a move on a female employee until Parthi thrashes all the gang members and shoots and kills them without hesitation, though he has an emotional breakdown afterwards. Parthi is released after being arrested for having committed the murders in self-defense, but his photo appears in newspapers. A notorious gangster in Telangana named Harold Das, learns about Parthi and informs Antony Das, where Antony immediately leaves for Theog to meet Parthi.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the gang members make attempts on the lives of Parthi and his family. Parthi requests for armed officers from Tamil Nadu to provide protection for him and his family. Parthi’s request is granted as Napoleon, who was recently promoted following his heroics with Dilli, is assigned to protect his family. On meeting Parthi, Antony insists that Parthi is his son, Leo Das, who was assumed to be dead, which Parthi vehemently denies. Antony threatens Parthi to accept his identity and surrender, or face the consequences of not doing so. Antony meets Sathya and tells her about Leo, which makes her to start digging into Parthi’s past. At the same time, Joshy Andrews starts digging into Leo’s past and finds Leo’s friend, Irudhayaraj D’Souza, from whom he learns about Leo’s past.
Past: In 1999, Anthony runs a tobacco company named Das & Co. Antony’s brother, Harold, returns from London and starts smuggling drugs as the tobacco business does not take off. Antony’s twin children, Leo and Elisa Das, do the dirty work to run the business smoothly. Based on his astrologer’s advice, Antony decides to sacrifice Elisa as he was told that this would allow high profits for the company. Enraged, Leo sets fire to all of Harold’s drugs, who manages to kill Elisa, and Antony shoots Leo, who is then presumed to be dead.
Present: On hearing the story, Andrews is convinced that Parthi is not Leo. Antony kidnaps Siddhu and tells him that he is going to sacrifice him as he couldn’t sacrifice his daughter. However, Parthi catches up with them and kills Antony and his men, but does not find Siddhu. Harold learns about Antony’s death and calls Parthi to bring his body in return for Siddhu. As Parthi goes to Harold’s den, Harold reveals to him that he has sent men to kill Sathya and Mathi. However, Napolean, Joshi, and Parthi’s adopted hyena manage to take down all of the henchmen. Harold’s men attack Parthi, who manages to fend them off.
Harold and Parthi engage in a fistfight, which results in him holding Harold at gunpoint. Harold admits that Parthi is not Leo and that he and his family can leave, but Parthi finally reveals himself as Leo and guns down Harold. Leo tells that anyone who knows about his past must not remain alive. Parthi/Leo returns to his peaceful life until he gets a phone call from Agent Vikram, who tells him that destroying his family’s company is not enough, as drugs are rampant all over the country. He also lets him know that he knows Parthi/Leo recognizes his identity, where Parthi/Leo sighs in exasperation.
