Tesla vs Tesla

Recently Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company Tesla filed a case against an Indian company. This case is related to trademark infringement. This case has been filed against the Indian company Tesla Power India.

Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company Tesla has moved the High Court to stop Tesla Power India from using the Tesla trademark.

According to senior lawyer Chander Lal, who appeared in court on behalf of Elon Musk’s Tesla, the misuse of the trademark is damaging the reputation of the American company and affecting the company’s business interests.

He also said that the use of the company’s name was confusing consumers and that complaints against Tesla Power batteries were being directed to American EV maker Tesla because consumers believed they were associated with Elon Musk’s company.

At the same time, Chander Lal alleged that Gurugram-based company Tesla Power was promoting its batteries, posing as an electric vehicle company.

Following the petition of the American company, the court has issued a notice to the Gurugram-based company Tesla Power. The next hearing of this case will be held on May 22. Tesla Power says it has been in business for many years and manufactures traditional batteries used in vehicles.

Manoh Pahwa of Tesla Power gave this information

Tesla Power’s Manoh Pahwa said his company is already present in India, they have got all the permissions from the government. Not only this, but the company has never claimed that Musk is related to Tesla.

Apart from this, he said that he has no plans to enter the EV market. He also explained that the ad with the Tesla trademark was related to another company called E-Ashwa. Tesla Power argues that it does not manufacture EV batteries.

Instead, it is selling lead acid batteries used in conventional vehicles and inverters. The ad with the Tesla trademark is from another company called E-Horse. With whom Tesla Power has a strategic partnership to sell branded products.
