Everest Fish Curry Masala

Singapore has announced to withdraw the famous Indian spice product Everest Fish Curry Masala from the market. This decision has been taken on the grounds that the spice contains high levels of pesticide ethylene oxide.

This pesticide is used to spray agricultural produce to reduce microbial contamination. However, its use in food is prohibited. It is not suitable for human health. This is stated by the Singapore Food Agency.

Recall order for Everest Fish Curry Masala

The Singapore Food Agency issued a statement saying that the Center for Food Safety has issued a notification for the recall of Everest Fish Curry Masala. It is high in ethylene oxide. This spice brand was imported by SP Muthia & Sons Pte Ltd in Singapore. The SFA has advised the company to recall the product.

The SFA has urged consumers not to use Everest Masala in their food at this time. If customers have already purchased it, avoid using it for now.

Long-term exposure to ethylene oxide can cause health problems, the Food Agency said. If you are using it and are worried about your health, you can consult a doctor.
