Parag Desai, the executive director of Wagh Bakri brand of tea, passed away at a private hospital in Ahmedabad on Sunday evening. He suffered a brain hemorrhage after a fall last week, following a freak accident near his residence.
According to sources close to the family, Desai met with a freak accident while on a morning walk on the morning of October 15. He suffered a severe head injury following a fall, said sources. According to reports, the accident occurred when he was attacked by street dogs.
What is a hemorrhage?
A brain hemorrhage is a type of stroke caused by an artery in the brain bursting and causing localized bleeding in the surrounding tissues. This bleeding inside the brain kills the brain cells. Injury is the most common cause of bleeding in the brain for those younger than age 50.
What Happen in brain hemorrhages?
A person with brain hemorrhage must be immediately rushed to the hospital. How well a patient responds to a brain hemorrhage depends on the size of the hemorrhage and the amount of swelling, among other factors.
Some patients recover completely while some may suffer from complications like stroke, loss of brain function, seizures, or side effects from medications or treatments. Death is also a possibility

• Wagh Bakri was started by Narandas Desai in 1892. Today, it has a turnover of ₹ 2,000 crore.
