Hurun India Report Rich List 2024
A recent Hurun India report has revealed a significant surge in India’s billionaires population.
Introduction
In our country, the wealth of the rich is increasing but the poverty of the poor is not decreasing accordingly. A new report has come from Hurun India regarding the increasing number of billionaires and their increasing wealth in India.
India’s Billionaires Milestone
The biggest thing about this report is that for the first time in India, the number of billionaires has crossed 300 and now there are 334 billionaires living in India.
These are the billionaires whose wealth is more than 8300 crores whereas the number of people with wealth of 1000 crores in India has reached 1539 i.e. there are 1539 such people whose wealth is more than 1000 crores.

Compared to last year, 75 billionaires have increased in India this year i.e. about six every month and one billionaire increases in our country every 5 days whose wealth is more than 8300 crores.
Billionaire’s Capital
According to this list, Mumbai has now become the capital of billionaires in Asia. 92 billionaires live here whereas 91 billionaires live in China’s capital Beijing i.e. the highest number of billionaires in the whole of Asia. Now they live in Mumbai.
India Inequality
The wealth of the common man did not increase at the pace at which the number of billionaires and their wealth increased in India. In India, the annual per capita income in the year 2022 and 23 was 1.69 lakh rupees which increased to 1.84 lakh rupees in the year 2023 and 24 i.e. the per capita income in a month is only If you look at the income of one month 1250 rupees increase within a year, it has increased by 1250 rupees. It tells you that it is a good thing that the number of billionaires is increasing but if the income of the common man also increases in the same manner, it will be very good.
