Who is Hussain Ustra?
S Hussain Zaidi, writer of ‘Dongri to Dubai’, runs a series. Its name is ‘The Source’. Under this, he tells the story of different gangsters and also gives a lot of information about them. He also made a post on ‘Ustra’. He tells that his real name was Hussain Sheikh. But people used to call him ‘Hussain Ustra’. The reason behind this was childhood fight. Hussain Sheikh got into a fight at the age of just 16. At that time he had a razor in his hand. He got angry and attacked the person standing in front of him. It is said that the person had a long cut from the shoulder to the bottom. He was immediately taken to the doctor in a serious condition. But even the doctor was surprised to see his wound. This is because only a surgeon can make this incision, that too with the help of a scalpel. It was so dangerous that after this incident, 16-year-old boy Hussain Sheikh became famous by the name ‘Hussain Ustra’. Then the razor became his weapon. People used to use swords in the olden days, but Hussain started using razors.
It is said that he started his gangster career by leading a small gang. He started a war against Dawood by hiding with his gang on Bapu Khote Street, which is in Pydhuni area of Mumbai. At that time, ‘Hussain Ustra’ was the king of Pydhuni. People were scared of him. He lived in a flat in the same area, where he had also set up his office.

Sapna Didi, whose real name was Ashraf Khan. Her husband Mahmood used to work in Dubai. But what kind of job was it? How did he earn money? Ashraf never asked about this. Nor did her husband tell her. One day Ashraf gets a call that her husband is returning. She reaches the airport to meet him. But before she could meet her husband Mahmood standing in front of her, she heard the sound of gunfire. Her husband disappeared from her sight. There was a lot of chaos. She was looking for Mahmood. Then a policeman comes and asks her to go to JJ Hospital.
As soon as she reached the hospital, there was a dead body lying in a corner, which was of her husband Mahmood. He had been killed. But till then Ashraf had no information. Why did this happen and who did it? Before that she went to find the reason. The very next day a press conference was held. From which it was revealed that Ashraf’s husband Mahmood had connections at very high places. He was known as Mahmood Kalia in the underworld. He used to work for underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Dubai. But things got worse when he refused to agree to anything. Dawood’s henchmen informed the police. After this, as soon as he returned to the country, he was killed in an encounter. Ashraf had come to know the truth about her husband. But she was so angry that she was eager to take revenge from Dawood.
How Hussain Ustaara and Sapna Didi met?
Hussain Ustaara had enmity with Dawood Ibrahim. As soon as Ashraf came to know about this, she immediately went to meet Hussain Ustaara. There was a conversation between the two. But initially Hussain laughed at her words. After this he agreed to help. Ashraf was also given training. This included martial arts and weapon handling. Soon both of them became good friends. Then Ashraf took the first step against Dawood, which was to spy on his hideouts.
It is not hidden from anyone that Dawood used to run drugs and betting business in Mumbai. Ashraf had found the first way to trap Dawood. She started giving information about him to the police and became their good informer.
How did Ashraf become Sapna Didi?
How did Mahmud’s wife Ashraf get the name Sapna Didi? There is a different story behind this too. They say – every enemy has a friend. After her husband’s murder, Ashraf was looking for every person who had enmity with Dawood. And that happened. One day she found Dawood’s biggest enemy. He was Arun Gawli. Ashraf went to him for help. But he refused outright. That too saying that people like him cannot be trusted. Now she had understood that this name would not be useful for her for long. In such a situation, she started her own gang. She also changed her name. Now she had become Sapna Didi. The work of this gang was to loot Dawood’s smuggled goods. These people would sell it and earn money.
Sapna didi tried to take revenge from Dawood many times. One of these was during a cricket match, when an attempt was made to kill Dawood. But the plan failed. Even more dangerous was that Chhota Shakeel, who was Dawood’s right hand then, had come to know about Sapna and her plan. One day she was lying at home. Some of Shakeel’s boys entered Sapna’s house at midnight. And picked her up from there. Sapna didi was murdered by stabbing her with knives under her own house.
How Hussain Ustra was murdered?
Sapna had died. Hussain’s gang continued for many years. The year was 1998. The month was September, when Hussain went to meet his girlfriend. Hussain did not have his men with him. As soon as he came out of the building, Shakeel’s boys shot him dead.
