Food Safety Connect App: The sale of adulterated food will now be curbed

Food adulteration is increasing rapidly in the country. Everything from spices to honey is getting adulterated. Vegetables are being sold with harmful coloring. Recently two major spice brands were banned overseas and the spices are back.

Consumption of these adulterated foods can cause many diseases. Many people have become sick or even died after consuming such adulterated spices, vegetables or other foods.

Identifying food adulteration is a very difficult task. Sometimes we can identify such things that are harmful to the body like vegetables, fruits. But the big question for customers is where to complain about it.

To address this, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has made it easy to report such fraud. FSSAI has launched a mobile app through which you can report any food adulteration.

The name of this app is Food Safety Connect App and you can download it from Google Play Store. This app also has option to check FSSAI license or registration number of brand. Through this app, the government also gives instructions to the customers from time to time.

After downloading the app, you have to login through mobile number or e-mail id to report any fraud. After filing a complaint, you can get updates on your complaints. This app will make it easy for consumers to identify and report adulterated products, get updates.
