Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) has partnered with Shell India Markets Pvt. to set up public charging stations across the country. Ltd. (SIMPL) has entered into an MoU.

EV Charging Station: 'Tata' and 'Shell' together for 'EV Charging' facility

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) has partnered with Shell India Markets Pvt. to set up public charging stations across the country. Ltd. (SIMPL) has entered into an MoU. According to this agreement, ‘EV’ chargers will be installed at Shell Company’s petrol pumps.

This will enable Tata EV customers to benefit from better charging facilities even on long journeys. The charging facility is being expanded with the aim of encouraging more people in the country to use electric vehicles.

Both these companies are also trying to bring convenient payment system and loyalty program. Director of Shell India Markets Sanjay Varki and Chief Strategy Officer of TPEM Bala.J. Rajan signed the agreement.

Bala Rajan said, “We have partnered with Shell as part of our efforts to advance the EV ecosystem in the country. Through this collaboration we aim to enhance our charging infrastructure,

This is an important step to accelerate the adoption of EVs in the country, especially as the consumer base continues to grow. This strategic collaboration will revolutionize charging practices in the country, thereby accelerating the adoption of EVs in the country.”

Sanjay Varki said, “Research around the world has shown that widespread and convenient charging infrastructure is essential to drive EV adoption. Growth in charging infrastructure will help drive ‘EV’ adoption. To achieve this, this collaboration between the two leading companies will be crucial in the next phase of EV growth in the country.”
