America-India Space Mission: NASA will provide training to Indian astronauts; A joint space mission of the two countries

The American space research organization NASA will soon provide special training to Indian astronauts. The objective of this training is to have Indian and American astronauts on a joint mission to the International Space Station (ISS). This information was given by US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti at the “US-India Commercial Space Conference” held in Bangalore.

Garcetti said, “NASA will soon provide advanced training to Indian astronauts. The mission is aimed at a joint mission to the International Space Station this year or later. This was one of the important agreements reached during the meeting between the political leaders of the two countries.”

Besides, “We will soon launch Nisar satellite from ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre. This satellite will be able to monitor the environment, Earth’s surface, natural disasters, sea level rise and cryosphere,” he added.

Expressing optimism about space cooperation between the US and India, USIBC President Atul Kashap called it a new era in the US-India space research partnership.

The conference also marks a growing collaboration between the two countries, leaders in space research and innovation. Kashap also said that through strategic alliances and joint efforts, we are on the way to achieving extraordinary milestones and expanding the field of space exploration.
