Mankhurd monument: A big announcement by the government on the occasion of Ahilyadevi’s memorial day! India’s first international standard monument will be erected

Today is the memorial day of Punyaslok Ahilya Devi Holkar. The state government has made a big announcement on this occasion. Accordingly, the first international standard ‘Ahilya Bhawan’ will be constructed in India. Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha has announced this.
Where will the monument be erected?
A building will be constructed at Mankhurd through the funds of the District Planning Committee. An expenditure of 47 crores is expected for this. Also, this building will be constructed in an area of 35,500 square meters. In this building, various offices of Women and Child Development Department of Mumbai suburbs will come under one roof.

What are the characteristics of the Ahilya Bhawan?
• A full-length statue of Ahilyabai Holkar will be erected in front of the complex
• There will be a counseling center for women.
• Auditorium with a capacity of 200 people
• There will be office of Women Commission and Child Rights Commission
• A total of 20 offices of Child Development Project Officers
• There will also be office of Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board, Women Economic Development Corporation
