The Supreme Court rejected the lawyer’s claim
“All objectionable scenes have been removed from the teaser,” said a lawyer representing the filmmaker. But the court rejected this claim of the lawyer. “We saw the teaser this morning and all the scenes are there,” he said.
When the lawyers representing the filmmakers said they would suffer damages for withholding the release of the film, the court said, “If the teaser of the film is so offensive, what about the entire film? Prima facie, it appears that you yourself have failed to delete the scenes in the teaser. Against this backdrop, The court asked the high court to expeditiously decide on the petition challenging the film’s CBFC certification.
