It will surprise anyone to read that the wealth of a 4 month old baby is Rs 210 crore and that baby is now 5 months old. He got Rs 4.2 crore as his first earnings.

Narayana Murthy had transferred 0.04 percent stake or 15 lakh shares of Infosys to his 4-month-old grandson Ekgra Rohan Murthy. The value of these shares is approximately Rs 210 crore. Now that baby has received its first dividend of Rs 4.2 crore from Infosys.

Infosys, an IT company, had announced a dividend on April 18. Last month, Narayana Murthy gifted shares worth over Rs 240 crore to Ekgra. Ekgra held 15 lakh shares or 0.04% stake in the IT company. Considering the total dividend of Rs 28, Ekgra has received Rs 4.2 crore as dividend.

30 crore loss to Ekagra in one month

The total value of Ekgra’s Infosys shares fell by Rs 30 crore as each share depreciated by around Rs 200 after the gift. Today, April 19 at 11:15 AM, Infosys shares were trading down 1.2% at Rs 1,402.4. Narayana Murthy’s stake in Infosys came down from 0.40 per cent to 0.36 per cent or 1.51 crore shares after gifting shares to his grandson.

Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy’s son Rohan Murthy and his wife Aparna had announced the arrival of a new family member in November 2023. The new member of the family has been named Agatha. Narayana Murthy’s daughter Akshata Murthy and Rishi Sunak (son-in-law) have 2 children. Recently Narayana Murthy’s wife Sudha Murthy has taken oath as Rajya Sabha member.
