IPL 2024 Schedule: The schedule for the second phase of the 17th season of IPL has been announced. In the second phase, the schedule till the final match has been announced.
IPL 2024 Schedule
The schedule for the second phase of the Indian Premier League 2024 tournament has been announced. This is the 17th season of IPL and it started from 22nd March. A few days ago the schedule of the first phase of the 17th season was announced. This included matches from March 22 to April 7.
Now the schedule till the final match has been announced. The final match will be played on 26 May 2024 in Chennai. Also, the first qualifier match of the playoffs will be played on May 21 and the eliminator match on May 22 in Ahmedabad. Also, the second qualifier match will be played in Chennai on May 24.
All the matches in Playoff will start at 7.30 pm.
In IPL, the final match is often played at the home ground of the defending champion. Therefore, this year the final match will be played at the home ground of the defending champion Chennai Super Kings i.e. MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. In this season, 74 matches will be played including 70 matches in the league round and 4 matches in the playoffs.
Due to the Lok Sabha elections, the IPL schedule has been announced in two phases this year. A few days ago, the Election Commission has announced that the Lok Sabha elections will be held in 7 phases.

Voting for the first phase will be held on April 19 and counting of votes will be held on June 4. Polling for the Lok Sabha will continue for more than two months. Therefore, the schedule for the second phase of IPL 2024 has been prepared keeping in mind the election phases and voting.
Double header and timing
In the second phase, a total of 7 double headers means two matches will be played in one day. On the day of the double header, the first match will start at 3.30 pm, while the second match will start at 7.30 pm. As there is only one match on other days, these matches will start at 7.30 pm.
Apart from this, matches will be played in home-away mode this year. That is, each team will be seen playing matches at their home and opponent team’s ground in the league round.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings’ home matches on May 5 and May 9 will be played in Dharamshala, while Rajasthan Royals’ home matches on May 15 and May 19 will be played in Guwahati.
