Many people call this project a marvel of engineering. There are reasons behind it. Because this bridge is the longest bridge in India. And it is the largest sea bridge in India and Asia. This bridge is considered as one of the top sea bridges in the world. Three sections have been worked for this bridge. It consists of a bridge on land, a bridge in the sea and also a bridge on rock.
Atal Bridge latest technology
Many technologies have been used in this. This is being used for the first time in India. In which Orthotopics steel decks reduce noise as well as reduce vibrations. This does not pose the least threat to aquatic life. Many such devices have been used. In which the noise is reduced while the work is in progress and a special technology has been used to lift the radar.
More steel than the Eiffel Tower
The steel used in this bridge is 17 times more than the Eiffel Tower. Also the structural steel that has been used is four times more than Howrah Bridge. The concrete used in this is six times more than the Statue of Liberty. The wiring it has is also large. Also, regarding the trucks used for its construction, it is said that if these trucks are lined up in a straight line, there will be a row from the earth to the moon. There are many features of this type inside.

In this, the Natural History Society, an organization working for the environment, has given a certificate of appreciation for the construction of this bridge. The lights installed on this bridge do not affect the environment of aquatic life.
It has many technical features. It has become a historic bridge connecting the city of Mumbai with Navi Mumbai. Further it is planned to connect this bridge to Mumbai-Pune Express Highway. Later, when the multimodal corridor is built, this bridge will also be added to it. When this bridge is opened, the big problem of traffic in Mumbai will be solved.
Which vehicle will run Atal bridge?
All types of vehicles from four wheelers will run on this bridge. Two-wheelers, auto-rickshaws, cycles and handcarts will not be allowed. Because there is a matter of security. Another is that one has to drive at a certain speed so that the traffic flows smoothly. Also, the government has issued a notification regarding the toll. This will have to be tolled as it has been built with a loan from the financial institution Jaya of the Japanese government. Therefore, this loan also has to be repaid.
How will the toll be planned?
There will be tolls in two ways. But initially the government has kept the facility of open tolling here. No one has to wait in open tolling. In this, it will scan the sticker affixed on your vehicle through a powerful RFIT scanner and collect the toll from your account. Initially, this open tolling will be experimented for one month. After this, if there are any obstacles and difficulties, they will be considered later.
Advanced Traffic Management System
The traffic management system installed in it is the most advanced in India. It has 190 thermal cameras. Because even if the visibility is reduced due to fog, these cameras can capture it. These cameras can capture the vehicle even if it stops, breaks down or someone gets out of the vehicle. If someone is driving faster than the fixed speed limit, it will also be captured by this camera. The government has issued a notification about the speed limit yesterday.
