Bangalore: Terminal-2 (T2) of Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) here has earned recognition as ‘one of the most beautiful airports in the world’. He has been awarded the ‘World Special Prize for Interiors 2023’ by UNESCO Prix Versailles.
This is the only Indian airport to get this recognition, said Bangalore International Airport officials. Founded in 2015, the Prix Versailles organization says the airport upholds the values of innovation, creativity, reflection of local heritage, environmental efficiency and social interaction.
Meanwhile, Terminal-2 (T2) of Kempegowda International Airport has been built on only four pillars in an area of two lakh 55 thousand 661 square meters. Inaugurated on November 11, 2022, the first phase of Terminal-II is designed to accommodate 25 million passengers. In fact, the passengers arriving there are also amazed by the beauty of this terminal. Today this airport has got the honor of being the most beautiful airport in the world.
